Practical safer-play guidelines
- Set a budget and time limit before you start; never chase losses.
- Only gamble with money you can afford to lose (not rent, bills, or credit).
- Avoid gambling when stressed, depressed, or under the influence of alcohol/drugs.
- Take regular breaks and balance gambling with other activities.
- Keep track of deposits/spend and review your activity honestly.
Warning signs of a gambling problem
Consider getting support if you notice any of the following:
- Gambling longer or spending more than planned.
- Borrowing money, selling items, or hiding gambling from others.
- Trying to win back losses or feeling restless/irritable when not gambling.
- Gambling affecting work, relationships, school, or finances.
Timeouts, account closure & self-exclusion
Timeout (cooling-off): Use any available account controls to pause play for a set period. During a timeout, you should not be able to gamble until the period ends.
Account closure: You may request account closure by contacting us at contact@mistycedarparlor.com.
Self-exclusion: Many US states offer formal self-exclusion programs for licensed gaming operators (online and/or retail). These programs are run by state regulators and typically apply for a minimum term and may restrict marketing communications during the exclusion period.
To find state-specific options, start with NCPG state resources: ncpgambling.org/state-resources. You can also locate your state regulator (gaming commission/lottery) through official state websites.
Underage gambling
Gambling is only for adults of legal age in the applicable jurisdiction. Parents/guardians should supervise device access and use parental controls where appropriate.
